WCG-Europe: Are you satisfied with the 16:14 result and the overall match against the Danes from mTw?

CHEF-KOCH: Of course I’m satisfied; after all we’ve advanced a round! It was a damn close match and some of the rounds we lost wouldn’t have been necessary. I’ve yet again come to realize that the switch from CRT’s to TFT’s really isn’t easy. Not to mention the amount of noise that really makes solid teamplay very hard to achieve and maintain. So we really depend on the individual player’s skill and decisions. And we were right to rely on them and managed to take this match home, even if mTw really didn’t make it easy for us at all.

WCG-Europe: How would you try to explain the inconsistencies in mTw’s skill during the SEC?

CHEF-KOCH: You can’t really say that mTw played either very bad or really good. During this specific event it really depends a lot on how good you can deal with the surrounding tradeshow. Their loss against Greece was neither a question of skill or experience, because mTw has lots of both. They just didn’t know how to take control and dominate their match, I don’t know if this is related to the swap of whimp. Let’s see what happens to their team next, if they’re going to swap another player right before a major event again. Because it didn’t seem to give them any advantage during the SEC.

WCG-Europe: Your next opponent will be French Team emuLate. What can you say about their players or the match itself?

CHEF-KOCH: Nothing basically, just because I don’t know anything about them. Apart from the fact that they won last year’s WCG Grand Final, they can’t really boast any noteworthy achievements. This may sound harsh, but they really failed pretty miserably during their last LAN. I hope they can maintain the same high skill level that they’ve shown during the last few matches, we would welcome that! It would really be great if we could enter the finals for Germany!

WCG-Europe: Why don’t you compare Team Alternate with mousesports for us!

CHEF-KOCH: Well, currently we’re really not all that well prepared, because we didn’t have the chance to. You’ll see us play really well on some maps and you’ll see us take home some rounds, like on inferno. But at the same time things won’t work out for us at all on some other maps, or not work out the way we’d want them to. This is also due to the fact that we weren’t able to train with our complete line-up last week, as Approx wasn’t able to join. Mousesports however has been training nonstop in the recent past. They’re in top-shape and really well prepared. So they’ve come this far with no loss for a reason. But the numbers are still on our side, as we’ve never last a match against them and I hope that track-record doesn’t change.
