Euro Championship of the computer and video players at CeBIT 2008
Groß-Gerau/Hannover, January 18th 2008 – The World Cyber Games (WCG) are spectacular starting in the year 2008. Already in March there will be a highlight: from March 6th to 9th the WCG guest with the Euro Championship of the computer players, the Samsung Euro Championship (SEC), at the CeBIT in Hannover. That means: Four days non-stop-Action, 250 players from 30 nations and prize money of 100.000 US-Dollar.

The Samsung Euro Championship invites the best players from all over Europe to the Euro Championship of the players. It begins with a furious opening ceremony on March 6th before the tournaments are starting. Then the guests and the visitors of the CeBIT experience some eSport legends and newcomers with exciting games in a variety of disciplines. Sport fans get one`s money worth at the game titles Need for Speed: Pro Street (car race), FIFA 08 (soccer) and the console hits Dead or Alive 4 (Beat'em Up) as well as Project Gotham Racing 4 (car race). Spectacular tactic matches show the Cyber-Athletes at Counterstrike 1.6 (Tactic-Shooter), Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (strategy) and Command & Conquer 3 (strategy). In addition, there are many events, competitions, information and of course autographs of the stars. The new European Champions will than nominated at a spectacular closing ceremony on March 9th. They play for fame, glory and total prize money of 100.000 US-Dollar.

The Samsung Euro Championship will be battled at CeBIT in Hall 22 on the grounds of the Hanover tradeshow.
